The Word Spread Within Your Company
Every company should have a common ground and understanding of where the source of information is coming from.
What are reliable sources for communication in today's growing technology? Technology has been helpful, but is too much of it bad for a company?
With word of mouth the game of telephone is a perfect example. Starting from one person to another person the message is sent down until it reaches the very last person. More often then not the words were altered into something completely different than the original message.
When working in a company or even in a social life things get altered and their is a complete hectic disorder of information that seems to spin out of control. When it comes down to it there have been many times that it gets harder to find the real source of information.
Why does this happen? Is it that there was not a clear understanding of the message from the start? Where did it start to change? More often then not it was not purposely changed but somehow got altered by the way it was perceived. Sometimes the message starts off fairly large but by the end is short. Although on the same subject or topic the end message is a very short and non-detailed message. It can not be blamed on anyone but the fact of the source of the message was spread through many people and got lost or twisted a long the way. Would it be best to stop the message along the way and make sure it is still correct? If so that would cause much back tracking to find the locations of where it was lost.
Other communication methods are good until the message gets lost int he clutter of communication overload.
