Do You Know What You're Feeling? EI at Work - Learning and Accepting Who We Really Are

According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, "Projection is a conformation of defence in which unwanted feelings are displaced onto another person, where they then come as a threat from the peripheral world. My boss, Jan, asked Kathy approximately a virgin sales call. I watched as my colleague's face turned red. Kathy sputtered, "What arrange you mean? I condign said that..." Kathy outlined the basic features of our product and ended with "I don't know! What act you thirst me to say?"
"No, that sounded good," January replied coolly. Kathy's eyes narrowed. Did she catch on she was scowling? "I don't appreciate what you expected me to say," she repeated. Her gestures were sharp, pointed. I had never seen Kathy so in a meeting. Jan ignored the sheet and continued with her agenda.
Afterwards, Kathy came into my duty and shut the door. She whispered, "Did you gaze how boiling Jan was?" I gave a vague, noncommittal answer. Jan had looked annoyed on the other hand Kathy had seemed enraged.
In this case, Kathy was "projecting" her own antagonism onto Jan. Now, instead of her own experience, Kathy has the added occupation of fighting with her manager.
