Sales Training - How to Conduct Compelling Sales Training

If you have several years of experience in the field of selling and if you don't have any problem conducting trainings, you can have another source of income by offering sales training to individuals or even organizations who are struggling to boost their sales and revenue.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Specialize. There are several areas of selling that you can focus on. You can talk about lead generation, lead conversion, handling objections, packaging and marketing, negotiation, building product value, etc. To make your training short and focused as much as possible, I recommend that you pick one area of selling for each of your programs.

2. Research. No matter how knowledgeable you are in the field of selling, it will surely not hurt if you perform an extensive research for your training programs. Check out relevant online and offline resources that can offer you with fresh and hot information. It would also help if you can attend seminars that are hosted by other industry leaders. These can surely make you sound more knowledgeable and more effective on your sales training.

3. Plan ahead. Create your training modules way before the big day. Write down all the information that you wish to share to your trainees and all the activities that they need to perform on your training. If you have the time, you may practice your presentation in front of an objective third party who can offer you with feedback or suggestions as to how you can improve your presentation to better serve your trainees.

4. Be ready. Anticipate all the questions that your clients might throw at you and research the most appropriate answer. By doing so, you can avoid being caught off-guarded during your training. You'll be able to offer your trainees with information that they are looking for in a very confident manner. You may also opt to encourage your trainees to send in their questions ahead of time and discuss them on your programs.

5. Detailed information. Give your clients their money's worth by offering them with detailed, expert information about your chosen topic. These people will surely not be happy if you offer them with something that is no-brainer or those information that they can easily find online. Offer them with proven techniques and insider tips. These people must feel well-informed or empowered to do things on their own after attending your sales training.
